Katy and I ventured to Amsterdam for the weekend. It was a ton of fun. Amsterdam has more canals than Venice and it was incredibly beautiful. Everywhere you looked it seemed as if boats were parked on grass, but there were canals all over. Everyone seems to have a boat in Amsterdam. It's pretty cool. It was Queen's Day the Saturday we were there, which was tons of fun. There were people in orange everywhere and it was a gigantic party with around 2 million people there for the day. There was also a tulip festival at Kreukenhof, a huge park. It was amazing.

Here is the Anne Frank House (Huis in Dutch). It was very moving.

Bar on Wheels

This is a eight person bar on wheels where you bike through the city and drink at the same time.

Heinken

Here is the Heinken Brewery in the heart of Amsterdam. This was mostly for Ben who loves Heinken.

Homo Stage

This was the Homo Stage by the Homomonument in Amsterdam. It is the most openly gay city in the world and the most acceptable. This was during Queen's Day.

Jazz Band

This was one of the 8 stages throughout the city on Queen's Day. It was jazz here.

Queen's Day 2006

Here is Queen's Day. It was a huge party in Amsterdam and there were street vendors, rummage sales, beer/alcohol, and tons of music and people. It was a ton of fun.
