This week has flown by! Paraty is our favourite place so far. Not that we have been anywhere yet. In 3 weeks we have only travelled a couple of hours down the coast! We were only supposed to stay here for a couple of days to pass some time before Skolbeats (can´t wait!) but just can´t seem to leave!
The centro historical is very colonial (says Gray) I don´t quite know what that means but will go with it anyway. The streets here flood with the tide which is pretty damn cool if you ask me. The beaches are nicer here especially in Trindade which is about a 40min bus ride away. We are thinking of staying there for a "couple of days" before heading to Sáo Paulo.
Last night we went to see a world famous puppet show, for adults only. We couldn´t quite work out why it was adults only until the last scene which i will leave up to your imaginations!! ; )
There is only one bad thing that I have to say about our stay here so far..... the cockrel that wakes us up every morning at around 7 just in time to
Mud Fight
Look what we found at the end of the beach!! smell next door cooking their pancake breakfast!!! lol : )
........ It´s now Wednesday (10th May) and we are waiting for the bus to Sáo Paulo having spent 3 relaxing days in Trindade. The weather hasn´t been great (it´s winter here now) so most afternoons were spent on our balcony´s hammock watching the huge waves roll in. The mornings however have been really warm and we found a beautiful natural pool about a 40min trek away (yes ANOTHER trek!!) I liked it there!!
So thats the last of the beaches for a while as we head inland. Such a shame as Grays tan was almost ready for that leopard skin thong Jon! ; )

ps. Thanks for the trekking advice Chris .... we took absolutely no notice of you though! Not because we thought you were wrong, but because as backpackers, we are no longer allowed to take our flip flops off! ;-)
Also ..... our room in Paraty had claret and blue decor! its a sign, I know it is.
