The thing I realy like about this picture are the two girls wearing thier roller blades.
We wanted to wish everybody a Happy New Year and share some pictures from the first month of the year.

So far January has been a very cold and snowy month, right before New Year’s Day we received about 16” of snow and the temperature has not been above freezing the entire month, last weekend another 6” of snow fell, I know for many of you this is not very much snow, but for the lack of snow removal equipment and the style of removal, it is a lot here. For removal they plow the farthest lane from the highway on-ramp, so if it is a three lane expressway, you have to drive over two lanes of deep snow to get on or off the highway.
We have taken a few hikes in the snow, one to Oksan where the trails travel around a large lake and through a few bamboo groves.

We also walked to Eunpa Lake, which is walking distance from our apartment; the lake has some walking/jogging trails around the lake, and a bridge that goes across the middle of the lake.

Let it Snow...BR-r-rr-r-r-r-r-r-
Hey, you Snow Birds!!!! Loved the scenery, as usual, your pictures are great. However, both of you look very cold. Would like to know what the temperature was on that day of your hike. The doggie looked like he wanted to be petted, and we know you did that... You aren't the only ones with cold weather. I read that Okla. had -31 today (2-10-11). That is very cold here..Lots of love and go hiking!

Well I got on to your blog. Very interesting. It looks very cold there and I thought we were having a rough winter. Ours was mild compared to that. I will be visiting your blog from time to time to see what is new. At least I get to see you, sort of, once in a while. Take care and God Bless. Nickie
