Kids at Brisbane AirportKids at Brisbane AirportKids at Brisbane Airport

Two very excited kids ready to jet off to Thailand
Strange but true...we made it to Brisbane airport with heaps of time to spare...and we don't seem to have forgotten anything! We flew to Phuket where we overnighted before continuing on to the North. The flight to Phuket scored about an 8/10. The entertainment system was fantastic and kept us all occupied most of the time. We emerged at Phuket airport 8 hours later with eyes dazed from staring at those small screens.
We were swiftly collected from the airport and whisked away to our bungalow at Tanamas House. All so easy!
Then wandered off to explore the beach area. Had dinner with our feet in the sand watching the sunset, the longtail boats bobbing in the water and the locals playing soccer on the shore. Nice!
The next morning we headed back to the airport, but not before having our first banana pancakes for breakfast!
Here started our mammoth journey...flight Phuket to Chiang Mai...taxi Chiang Mai airport to local bus station ( with a friendly taxi driver called Mr Boy!)...bus to Chiang Dao (painful and back grindingly bumpy as we had to sit bolt upright in the back seat due to Anya making the lady at the ticket offiice cranky
First DinnerFirst DinnerFirst Dinner

We had dinner at one of the seafood restaurants on Nai Yang Beach with tables set up on the sand. Very cool
by us missing the first bus due to being busy buying lunch from a food vendor!)....songthaew from Chiang Dao town to our bungalow near Chiang Dao cave.
So we are now in the most beautiful and serene place...Malee's Nature Bungalows...lying in our thatched bungalow listening to the soft rain with our bellies full of amazing Thai food cooked by the lovely Malee. We have lots planned in the next few days so our tale is to be continued....

Hi travellers! it is great to see all your exciting adventures. Enjoy all the amazing experiences and i cant wait to read/see all about them. Thomas and Ben love looking at your pictures! I bet you are glad to not be in Brisbane with all the rain and terrible flooding. We are thinking of all our Queensland and NSW friends. Take care and have fun. Melissa xxxx
