Kota Kinabalu and the Orang Utans

Omar has his first meeting in Malaysia... Not sure exactly were in Malaysia since he left the agenda somewhere and we can not pronounce the name... We just remember that is going to be really hot and humid. I am glad I am going...Yesterday was a bad day for me, I cried in front of the bank teller because I just felt overwhelmed (the hotel room does not have internet connection and I do not have a phone yet).

We arrived to Kota Kinabalu (Borneo) and I can not believe how lucky I am!! I have always wanted to go there and see the Orangutans in one of the 3 reabilitation centers in the world!!!

We arrive there and yes, it is humid and hot. We realized we have to wake up at 4 am to take another plane to go the other side of the island and visit the rehabilitation center but we smile; I guess is once in a lifetime adventure.

The orangutans (Orang Utans = Man of the forest) are the second largest apes (first are the gorilas)and they are 5 times stronger than a human being and our closest cousins.

I hope you enjoy the pictures!!! Panchito, my tiny teddy bear came with us and even though there was NOTHING TO DO OR BUY in the town, I had a great time in the beach and pool while Omar worked all day.

I feel relaxed now and ready to go back to Shanghai.
