It's hard for George and me to believe that our third-born is 20! Like most parents, we are quick to admit that time sure does seem to fly by. For a special treat we made pineapple coconut ice cream; a request of Luke's. We were also able to go out for a nice birthday supper to help Luke celebrate.
In other news, George has been busy teaching his classes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday he and Jacob made a trip to Moshi, to get some work done on our vehicle. Friday George spent all day working with Peter, editing the Lugandan version of the evangelism booklet. We are getting closer to it being ready for print.
This coming week promises to be another busy one. Tomorrow we will worship with the Monduli congregation. George is scheduled to teach Bible class and Lindsey was asked to teach the children's Bible class. Perhaps later we will have more to say about our Sunday. Tuesday will be the last day for George's classes with the guys who will graduate at the end of this month. We have invited his students to come for supper Tuesday evening, as a way for our family to personally congratulate them on their upcoming graduation. Thursday George and Jacob will have another long, long day as they travel to Nairobi for another dentist appointment for Jacob. Three weeks ago they were able to make the round trip in the same day. It was grueling, but they were very glad to be able to get it done in a day.
Stephanie Stafford received word that her mother was in a car accident. Last we heard she was in ICU, in serious but stable condition. Stephanie was able to get a flight out last night. Please keep that family in your prayers.
We wish each of you a wonderful Lord's Day tomorrow.
In Christ,
Joy

Happy Year, Luke
Luke you are having such great foundation experiences to build your future on. The work you are doing and the examples set up by your parents will guide you through your entire life's trip. My Grandaughter, 18yr old Jaymie, is traveling with 2 Ugandan students as she and her group of 18 young people are promothing education and schools for Ugandan children. Young people like you, Luke, and Jaymie and her group are the hope for our future. CONGRATULATIONS
