Overall we spent 5 weeks in Central Asia in four different countries. Here are some of the highlights of each:

Turkmenistan
Gets the award for the most quirky country. The Ashgabat camel market is still one of our favorites!

Uzbekistan
Lots of French tourists, and interesting architecture from the days of the silk route. This country is a place to visit, if you like history.

Kazakhstan
Sadly we weren't here long enough, but we enjoyed the mountains and will remember the large herds of horses.

Kyrgyzstan
Place for lots of great hiking and moutain scenery, reminded us a lot of home. Goat polo was a highlight.

We've included a few random photos of our daily life in the 'stans.

Now we are starting a new part of our trip as we cross into China, where we plan to spend approximately 4 months if all goes well. We're really looking forward to the food and a new country.
