Off to a good start

Well I have to say everything has ben pretty smooth sailing so far. Bright and 2 months in the snow was awesome ( Thanks Johnny for the best pizza's ever!!).

I guess the real trip has now begun. I left Sale after spending a few days with the family on the 31st August. A big thanks to Ryan for helping me get the last things sorted on the Troopy.

The trip up was easy but sheesh the fuel consumption is a lot more now that the beast is fully loaded. Getting about 18L per 100klms at the moment.

As you will see from the pics I got the most awesome camping site and only 90 bucks for 5 days. Whales pass by in the morning but have yet too see them as am usually out fishing or sound asleep to the gentle sound of the surf !! :-)

Camp was easier to set up than I thought. It took about 1.15 hrs and that is setting up the tv, fridge etc in the tent also. Have done a bit of fishing but only a tonne of small crap at the moment. Today is raining so am doing some tidying up and getting on here at Maccas.

Got to take some photo's with the new lens the other day of some birds which was good and some turned out pretty good whivh you can see.

I think I will head off on Saturday for either Bermagui or Kiama. Will see how we go.......Stay tuned :-)
