Communion creepyness.Communion creepyness.Communion creepyness.

This creeps me out just a little.
OK, maybe this seems totally normal to you but...

I kept seeing folks selling these paper-looking sheets with holes cut in them but didn't really know what they were. Sandra informed me that they are "snacks" that you put chile and lime on and then eat.

But that isn't the creepy part.

The "holes" were Catholic Church communion wafers. The Church then sells the remaining sheets via folks hawking all kinds of things at city intersections. Is that a little weird or is it just me? To think about it another way, one centimeter inside or outside the cutting circles is the difference between being the blessed body of Christ or a roadside snack.

In a sense we are like those wafer sheets. Although all created in the image of God, some are destined for noble use and some for ignoble use. (Romans 9:21) Just a random thought for the day.

Is there a difference?
When I take bread for communion in the church, or take bread for a lunch. Is not Christ being our sustanance in all things? Although Judas mis-used it, did he not keep a money box? Was it not to help the poor and widows? If the church uses it for theses purposes, good! Love your thinking Thomas, and Love you both,as our own. May God bless you in ways you have never seen! Sermon?
Yes, I think there is a meditation in there somewhere. Maybe along the lines of Rich's "Because you never know whats in that water" comment about people who want to be baptized by bottled up water from the Jordan.
