In my previous posts I failed to mention that Augusta is pregnant again! 😊 Both her and Celeste are once again pregnant at the same time (though, not as clost together). Shawn and Augusta are already pretty excited. Shawn is already studying pregnancy stuff and bought a book for him and Augusta.

Today, we went to another mall, shopped around, and then had lunch. The lunch area was covered with leaves (fake plant leaves) to give the feeling of being in the jungle (there were also some stuffed animals here and there), with fast food places lining the perimeter like you would see in the U.S.

From there we went back home, Augusta and Kai took a short nap, and Shawn and I went to a hardward store for the metal/foil tubing that connects the dryer to the wall (theirs has been separating from the wall). The hardware store was like and Ace Hardware store... modern with most of what a DIYer would need. Also, driving along the road, I think we saw four cricket matches, which is very popular here.

For the evening, we all went to Joel (one of Shawn's co-workers) and Lu's (his wife) house. They were throwing a barbecue for fun and also as a prize for some sailors that did particularly well on their tests. We had a lot of food, talked, and finished the evening playing quite a fun game of Cranium (in which the team that Augusta, Shawn, and I were on happened to win... making a big comeback no less 😊. I also got to know some of Shawn's co-workers better. In general, they seem to be cheerful and enjoying their time here with their families. Also, a few times throughout the evening we had the call to prayer (it is performed five times a day) over the mosque speakers (mounted on the minarets). Kind of reminds everyone that we are in the Arab world.

We then drove home and I've been spending the past hour or so updating the blog. Celeste called and talked to 'Gus for awhile and I talked to her, too, for a little bit. Also, I learned that Augusta and Shawn have an outbreak of Bahrainian Barking Spiders. 😊

This is glass on the wall with lights strung along it. Many of the walls here have broken glass on top them... I guess to keep people from climbing over.
