Kirstenbosch is acclaimed to be one of the great botanical gardens of the world! Few gardens can match the grandeur of the setting - against the eastern slopes of Capetown's Table Mountain.

A visit to this wonderful place is always inspirational! So much to see - such a variety of plant life - and so many different colourful birds. The garden is busy moving from winter to spring - so there were less colours than usual - but still a great day out.

The flowers we did photograph were especially for Dorothy!!

Thank you!
I have so enjoyed these pictures of Kirstenbosch and the wonderful flowers. I think this must be very near the top of my favourite places in the world.
