Well, there’s not too much more to do now - we are almost packed and ready to go. We’ve had a few last minute hiccups to deal with but that’s to be expected - our bank were their usual unhelpful selves and we thought the doctor was going to let Graham down with the amount of tablets they were prepared to let him have but eventually they relented and now he’s got a good supply.

We’re a bit sad that our stay in Moira has come to an end for now - we’ve really enjoyed our time here and grown to like the area a lot but we have especially loved having the company of Sarah and Darryl for the last few months - as everyone knows they are a fantastic couple. We had a great evening last Sunday when they accompanied us to Quorn Folk Club for the very first time and Sarah and Graham wowed everyone with their wonderful singing and guitar playing.

They have put up with having our ‘junk’ spread about the house (most of it completely unnecessary!) and our peculiar habits like drinking dandelion coffee and green tea! Still, Tiger the cat will miss our company although we were never quite sure if she appreciated being put on a strict diet! She has lost weight even though it doesn’t look like it!

We’ve tidied up the garden as much as we can and even planted a few more seeds last week which hopefully in a couple of months will provide Sarah and Darryl with cabbages, lettuces and spring onions. Our small veggie plot has yielded no end of delicious produce: potatoes, beetroot, carrots, onions, runner beans, dwarf beans, courgettes and leeks. It has been great therapy for us and helped hugely in Graham’s recovery. We’re very aware that we’ve landed them with more responsibilities such as watering the veggies, feeding the 71 fish (an increase of 69) and feeding the birds. We’re sure they will cope but they will be under the watchful eyes of expert gardeners, neighbours Jo, David and the twins who live opposite.

So for now we must wave a sad goodbye to Sarah, Darryl, Poplar Avenue and our campervan and say hello to everyone plus Sweetie Pie in Aus.

Sad but excited!
Hello from an empty Moira! We've had the best of times living with you both over the past few months, it's been a hoot and we've loved it. We promise to look after the garden, we will at least do our best and make sure that we devote time to its upkeep. Tiger is currently tip tapping around looking for you .... at least she's getting some exercise! She's only sulking because the person that gave her the most tit-bits is no longer here (Mum!). Hope the flight goes well. Speak to you when you get 'Down Under'. Lots of love from both of us x x x

Fabulous!
Hooray for The Pootling Possums! Australia is thrilled to welcome you! Any chance of smuggling those other two with you? We miss them - I am sure you can fit them in - looks like there's loads of room in your bags!! Travel safely and we look forward to hearing about your adventures. We will keep our fingers crossed that our paths may meet while you are here. Love, Belinda, Nige, Lach and Zali xo
