We just returned from one week in Vietnam! We had a lot of fun...however, we are happy to be home in Cambodia.

Here's a very short list of what we liked about Vietnam...and what we missed about Cambodia:

In Vietnam, we liked:
-Metered Taxis
-Prices (most everything was cheaper than in Cambodia!)
-Beautiful Beaches
-Surfing
-Hot Water for our Morning Showers
-Walking on Sidewalks (Cambodia has sidewalks, but you can't walk on them because they are filled with parked motos and items for sale)
-Buying Snickers and Mars Bars
-Women TV Anchors and Women Security Guards (men, mostly, hold these jobs in Cambodia)
-Tall Buildings

What we missed about Cambodia:
-Tuktuks (see picture here: http://www.kriyayoga.com/images/blog_photos/cambodia/tuk_tuk--dsc04063-b1.jpg)
-Driving our Moto
-Being able to Speak the Language (we don't know much Khmer, but we don't know any Vietnamese!)
-The much more Relaxed Pace of Life
-Drivers are Slower (again, that "Relaxed Pace of Life")
-Quieter Streets (people honk their horns all the time in Vietnam!)
-Easier Border Crossings (it took us 1.5 hours to get into Vietnam, vs. 5 mins. to get into Cambodia)
-Music Videos on all Buses and at all Restaurants, all the time
-Paying for stuff with US Dollars
-Eating Rice and Pork for breakfast

We could go on and on. The point is, Vietnam is great! and we'll definitely be going back. (And, you should go, too!) But, Cambodia's a great country, also, and we're very happy to be living here.

Censorship Board
You guys sound like you're trying to get comments past a censorship board. I'm glad you're having a good time. We watched the Blue Angels from a dock on lake WA this weekend and I thought about how weird the US is.
