One of the wonderful things about living in the Bay Area is the multicutural festivities such as the Obon Festival, which honors the deceased. Lots of wonderful food and drinks, including Shave ice.

Obon Festival
Sandy, Thank you for posting your Obon photos. It is a special celebration and San Jose has one of the largest. Maybe we can make it a point to be there this year.
