Who needs clothes?

The day started at 1:00am when we left absurdly early to get to the airport to catch our 6:00am flight. Our visions of closed roads in angry G20 protesters didn't materialize and we got to the terminal 4 hours before our departure time.

We flew Delta Airlines and took a small connecting flight to Atlanta, Georgia. We heard someone on the plane say something about having to pick up our bags and check them again for the connecting flight ourselves. This seemed weird, but when we landed 45 minutes before our next flight left, we headed out in search of baggage claim. Upon finding it, we noticed a sign indicating that no reentry would be allowed if we proceeded. That didn't sound right and our next flight's departure time was quickly approaching. After some quick deliberation we turned around and ran to the gate for our next flight. We managed to get the attention of an employee and got them to look up our bag numbers to make sure they were being transferred automatically.

Our minds now at ease about our bags (mostly) we boarded a 757 and set off for Costa Rica. The flight went by fairly quickly with the help of the in-flight movie, Valentines Day. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it certainly helped pass the time. Upon arriving in Costa Rica we discovered that while our bags were supposed to be transferred automatically to the connecting flight, Amy's didn't make the cut. After Delta assured us the bag would be on the next flight arriving at 8:50pm and that they would deliver it to our hotel, we headed out.

We settled into the hotel room and accidentally passed out for 2 hours of much needed sleep. When we woke up, we went out for an "exotic" first meal in Costa Rica at Denny's and are now going to attempt to stay awake until the front desk calls us to come get Amy's bag. Wish us luck!
