Thailand!!

Hello everyone! So here we are sitting at a thai bar next to the beach with the wind blowing our hair and drinking local beer (cheap, so even Sarahs drinking it!). It's been a pretty uneventful trip so far, all the plane connections went absolutely fine, spent about 5 hours sitting in Bangkok airport waiting for the plane down to koh samui, but yeah it's been good so far 😊
We spent last night on koh samui cos all the ferrys had stopped running for the night, the hotel was fairly average... Literally a square room with a raised concrete platform with a matress on it. Luxury. But we got the ferry to koh phan gan this morning, was pretty surreal as the tvs were showing mr bean followed by Tom and Jerry!! The resort we're staying at is incredible, we've got a hut right on the seafront, and air conditioning which is always a bonus! Haven't really done a lot today, just chilling out around the resort, but we went kayaking in a thunderstorm and nearly got run over by a cargo ship which was interesting! And right now we're relaxing at the bar with a nice cool breeze blowing, and lookin forward to the rest of trip 😊 (hopefully by the next time we update this we'll have done some more interesting stuff!!) oh also, you can get a beer and a full meal for less than 2 quid, so definitely very happy!!

Cheap beer. beachfront hut + air conditioning - what more could you ask for! Certainly beats working. Enjoy the rest of your stay on the island. Lots of love xxx

Oooh. Sounds idyllic especially compared to sitting in a training room in Milton Keynes! I also had a kayaking incident once but it was with barracudas not cargo ships.
