We woke up early ready to leave beautiful Phi Phi for a quick stop over in Krabi Town before heading over to Khao Sok National Park. We brought early tickets so we would have whole day to explore Krabi. However disaster struck when the longtail boat's rudder got tangled in the rope!! After ten minutes struggling the guy finally jumped in to untangle it before shooting us across the bay just in time to catch our ferry. It was very full but we managed to find a couple of spare seats. It seems bad luck wanted to follow me today and an hour into the journey the air conditioning decided to leak right above my head for the remainder of the journey!!

We got to the port and were ambushed by the taxi people and then robbed - 200bht to go five minutes down the road (if that) - Tsk Tsk.

We unloaded our gear, the room wasn't too bad, for a budget hotel, clean sheets and towels - the only problem was the hoards of ants, but they're everywhere in Thailand.

Next stop we took a taxi to Ao Nang and spent the day on the beach (We took a taxi boat round to
Railay West and explored all the beaches around the area, they are really beautiful, but I snagged my toe on a rock). We stayed in Ao Nang for dinner by which time it had got really late and had to grab a mini van home - OH MY GOD I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE!! He wasn't too happy having to drive all the way back to krabi Town so he put his foot down. I'm sure we must have been going about 100mph!! Finally we made it back alive and well, and he pointed us up a road saying our hotel was up that way - half an hour later having walked almost a full circle we clambered into our room. This would have been the end of a long eventful day but no, the air conditioning woke me up about 3 in the morning, thinking it was on fire i shook Bon awake, just as it made a horrendous crack and spat something at me, thinking it was a mushed up lizard I made Bon check it out - turns out it was just Ice. We turned the air con off - no more aircon for me!! Then we slept ready for our bus ride to Khao Sok in the morning.

I'm so envious!
Wow it sounds so wonderful. I've laughed and enjoyed your blog so much. I miss you loads. It's SO good to hear you are doing well and having fun, despite the creepy crawlies! Are you sure you are not just using the brochure pictures for your blog? It looks too beautiful. I've had my contract extended for another year so I'm happy. Evan nearly broke his leg the other day so we went for an x-ray, and then hurt his heel at the swimming pool yesterday! Luckily we didn't have to visit the hospital again - thoughts of bad parent have given me a sleepless night. He's got his first big tooth and the little one is very wobbly. That's about as exciting as it gets here. Lots of love Sarah XXX
