Last night I dreamed that I was being chased by a Tyrannosaurus rex. Fortunately I discovered that I had a spray can of T. rex repellent with me. . .think of it as mace for dinosaurs. Unfortunately, the nozzle was clogged and I couldn’t get it to spray evenly into the T. rex’s eye as he kept trying to eat me. So instead of repelling him, I was just making him madder. Seriously. . .don’t ask me where my mind comes up with stuff like this. I gave up a long time ago trying to figure it out. Instead, I’ve decided to embrace my eccentricities.
So I woke up to discover that the weather has taken a nasty turn. The dust storms have returned. The air is thick with dust that stings the eye and makes breathing a little more difficult. Today I have a sore throat and some congestion. I am not sure yet if this is the beginning of a cold or symptoms caused by all the dust in the air. I hope it is the latter. . .the last thing I need right now is to be sick.
Work was busy as
usual, filled with meetings, reports, and lab work. Nothing much to report in that regard. However, I did get to tour the manufacturing part of the company and I couldn’t believe how huge all the equipment was. You non-chemists won’t appreciate this part, but for the rest of you. . .they had a whole row of roto-vaps and each one was the size of a mini-van! I know. . .I’m such a science geek.
After work Danbo and I got dropped off at our hotel and we went straight to the hotel restaurant for dinner. And this is when I had truly marvelous, almost magical experience. I had to use the ladies room and I found that I had three options for toilets, (see pictures). Option One - traditional Squat-a-torium. Option Two- standard Western toilet. Option Three - Dream Toilet. I was bold and tried out Option Three. I was shocked to discover that it had a heated seat! And the amazing features didn’t stop there. . .had I chosen to do so, the toilet would have rinsed and blown dry my tush!!!! I kid you not! By the way, the bathroom attendant thought it was a little weird
that I was taking pictures of toilets.
Alright. . .for those of you who didn’t already think I was strange, I’m sure today’s blog entry has convinced you that I am, indeed, a very odd girl. So I’m off to bed and who knows what new and fantastical things I will dream of tonight. 😊
