snow snow snow but not really that much snow

Hi all,
been an interesting few weeks in Banff, the snow stopped and it got warm so our lovely winter wonderland turned into a brown, sludgy, muddy mess. It seemed that no snow was in sight, so we took Priscilla out to stretch her legs and drove 8 hours to Big White to stay with a girl we know from back home, Catherine. We left after everyone left work, 6pm and arrived in the early hours of the night.

In Banff there was no snow left on the side of the roads but the snow in Big White was piled up over our heads by the side of the road. Catherine's house was in the village which is half way up the hill on the ski out, so when we woke up to a clear blue sky day we could just walk out the door strap in and start boarding, very nice.

We had two amazing clear days in Big White which is known for it's whiteouts and zero visability and then got up in the morning to find ourselves almost snowed in. It was a bit of a hairy drive out of town , but Priscilla handled it very well and we arrived back in snowless Banff exhausted and very late for work.

The temp in Banff kept getting warmer and the streets kept getting slushier so we decided to have a BBQ on the river and did a bit of hiking, all those summer things until yesterday... when it dumped over 18 cm overnight!
We have been boarding all day and are heading up again tomorrow, very sore legs. Other than that nothing much has been happening, trying to save money for a road trip in April, hoping for a few more weeks of snow before summer really hits.The coming months are supposed to be the best for snow but after last year was the coldest on record, this year has been the warmest.

Anyways, I hope everyone back home is well, heard there have been some crazy storms happening back there, I hope everything is ok.
