On Sunday I got to help Pushpaji in the garden. She let me pick some spring onions. We were walking around the vegetable garden picking some of the big onions for our dinner. I planted some bean seeds next to the fence. They’re going to grow probably next month all the way up the fence and give the other vegies some shade. I got some lettuce for my own dinner too. And some mint too. Pushpaji said that I could have a mint garden to myself so I have to make sure the weeds don’t get too big.

When we went to Pali to go to the doctor, there was another boy from the hostel who was sick too. We had to wait a long time for the doctor to get back from his chai (tea) break. They drink lots of chai and Pepsi in India. Well, the boy that came with me’s medicine fell out of his pocket into the sewerage drain. It’s a funny drain that I be careful of because one time Dad fell in it too! He made his pants really dirty and they were new shoes too! Brand new! So my friend whose name is Lakshman; he used his shoe and a leaf to get the medicine out. Luckily his shoe didn’t get dirty. Mum was just shaking her head at us. There was a dog coming after me in the alley way so I hid in a dry drainpipe so he didn’t see me. There was some construction going on in the alley too and Lakshman and I threw some coconuts around.

We threw rocks up at the tree to try to make the seeds come down. They looked like mini green lemons but inside it was a really beautiful flower that wasn’t ready yet. Like a purple and pink colour mixed together. We got to ride on the back of the bull cart with the man after he dropped off the sand. After the Doctor we said goodbye to my friends (all the people that work at that hospital know me now) and we went for a walk. We nearly got run over by a motorbike but Mum grabbed us just in time. We went on a rickshaw ride and smelt the city. We stopped for snacks, incense, grapes, ribbon and fabric.

I had the day off school again. We’ll it’s been about ten days off school because I had some sickness and I didn’t want my friends to get it. Today Mum said we should go to the sunshine and the sun would fix me up. We looked for the hare, bird nests and played with rocks. Mum gave me a massage with the pink massager. It tickled soooooo much! The sun really did some magic and maybe I’ll go to school tomorrow!

Mum said I could buy one thing at the shop. Do you know what I got? A jar of Nutella (Franca would have been happy)! Someone said “Such a giant jar of Nutella!” I put it down beside me on the ground and stood next to it. I said “You call that giant?! It’s tiny and I’m the giant!”

I hope you're feeling a lot lot better now. Indeed, you're missing a lot when you're sick. It's really good to know that you're enjoying every single activity you have now. I wish you well in everything. Wouldn't it be nicer to have a special place on the web you can call your own and even converse with people around the world with the same sentiments as yours? Good luck!
