We have just returned from 3 days of kayaking and hiking through NZ's Able TasmanPark (named after the British explorer) where we encounterd original growth forests with 1000 year old trees, electric blue seas, penguines, seals, and ancient local traditions. A Land of superb bush walks, beautiful beaches, clear blue waters, and friendly locals, we walked through lush native bush, cruised the pristine coastal waters, lunched on a golden beach. We hiked and kayaked over 50 km guided by John and Dave and a new set of vagabound friends who sought out this northern point of the southern island. Most of our hiking mates were from the UK with a smattering from other parts of the world as we shared their travel storie,s wine and dinners in the private lodges each night. We hope we will keep up their enthusiasm for adventure and their friendship in years to come. Tomorrow we head to Chirstchurch and Arthur's Pass in the NZ Alps.

Thanks for the Pixs and the news about your adventures which tells us that you're enjoying every bit of it. can't imagine Ginny holding that jelly fish - it must have been taking an eternal nap. Bet you are not missing more snow in Wisconsin. The temp in Florida has been so low we have our sweaters on which have been stored for a long time but I kinda enjoy the change.
