Today we left Australia for the 10th - and final - country of our big adventure, New Zealand. Three years ago, we spent three weeks in New Zealand and loved it more than any other country either one of us had travelled to. We have been wanting to return and, when this incredible opportunity to travel came about, we immediately added New Zealand to our list of destinations. Our second visit to New Zealand will not be a quick week or two. This time we are going to do it right - three months. Hopefully three months will be enough time to really get to know the North and South islands and maybe we can squeeze in a trip to tiny, cold, bird-covered Stewart Island.
Thank you all for joining us on our travels through Asia and Australia. Special thanks to all of our loved ones for the wonderful emails and offers to send treasures such as peanut butter (the "real" American stuff), familiar toiletries and, best of all, books in order to make our experience more comfortable.
We're looking forward to seeing you all in San Francisco in late March. Thanks again for being a part of our journey.

Those of you who have been following our blog know that we have fallen terribly behind on our blog entries. Basically once we got to New Zealand we decided to put the blog on vacation. Our focus for the past two months has been making the most of this incredible opportunity to live in this wonderful country.
Our time in New Zealand has been amazing and we have a lot of stories that are blog worthy. Time to take the blog off vacation. Instead of providing you with a day-by-day account of our travels, we are thinking of writing shorter entries with a summary of some of our more interesting experiences in New Zealand. Our New Zealand blog entries will be appended to this same blog, so if you'd like to read them, you can find them here.
