This morning I woke up on the train at 6 AM. There were five other people in the room (about 7'x7'). One guy was German, two I think were African, and the other two were Americans. I got up and spent about a little over an hour watching the German countryside pass by. The train seemed to be going about 70 mph. Oh, and mom, the high-speed trains here do go 180 mph (300+ kph).

Then I spent about 45 mins. talking to an American girl from the D.C. area. She was on Spring break and also staying over here an extra week.

I switched trains in Munich to go to Vienna. In that car were three Germans (or Austrians, I'm not sure which) that were both smoking. So, I walked around the train a bit and realized I was in a smoking car, so I moved.

Then in Vienna, I got a locker and through the big part of my bag in and set off. I took a short train ride to the Museum Quarter. From there I mostly wondered around. Lots of beautiful museums, lots of cathedrals, and a few great pedestrian walkways (something I think America should put in city centers more often).

I visited St. Stephens and St. Michaels cathedrals (which was the second time I've visited St. Stephens). I also visited the Austrian National Library... but most of what I saw was artifacts from the medieval times (suits of armor) and musical instruments. After that I walked back to the train station and took a short ride back to Westbahnhoff (the train station I'm at right now and will be leaving here shortly to go to Belgrade).

On one hand, I feel very comfortable here in Europe, despite the language barriers. However, I also feel something like fear (or anxiety) that I get when I am immersed in change and/or a new environment. It is very hard to explain, but it was like this when I went to Serbia.
