Which as you know is essentially our modus operandi. So I haven’t written anything about the month in Geneva (which was amazing) or our superbly timed return to NZ. It was a sprint to get the wedding organised, and then, the big day!

Welll, I personally cannot speak highly enough of our wedding - one of the many wonderful aspects was that everything our friends and family did was of a professional standard - this might seem an odd thing to highlight, but it’s a fitting testament to how much people got into it...

The ceremony and the dancing were both awesome - they are after all what the people are there for! The photos will speak better than I can (as soon as I upload them! Lots on facebook)

After the wedding, we both crashed for a week. I was exhausted and Mon was sick! We are now getting back to our usual level of activity as the New Year gets underway- football, tango, the beach and all our friends beckon, especially as only 6 weeks or so remain. We shall endeavour to fill them with as much warmth as possible.

The year ahead looks exciting - I have decided that I actually need to use my grey matter. This conclusion was reached as a result of the Geneva experience, where I proved more than useful to a human rights NGO. Initial thoughts revolve around exploring the possibility of promoting fair trade through legalising all drugs and paying the primary producers of poppies and coca fair prices.

Back in the real world, I’ll probably look at studying in the UK. This will no doubt be cripplingly expensive, which is why I married Mon - she’ll finance me while I sip lattes and talk about discourses. Mon is looking at how to become a fully-fledged studio owner - ie a tango, yoga and pilates teacher. I'll provide the language lessons and impenetrable discussions…
