We are still in Dali. Yesterday we rode a cable tram up the mountain, and had a romantic hike to a secluded scenic spot. Take note of the first picture for details.
Today we hiked up on Canshan mountain to an incredible spot with a panoramic view of Erhai Lake and the city and the mountains. Then we walked 5 miles or so to the other end of the park, and rode a cable car down. The span on the first crossing was unbelievable, but we made it alive, as far as i can tell.
Then we checked in at a guesthouse behind the temple on the mountain, had dinner and played dou di zhu card game with the host. It is hard to learn a card game when you can't speak the language, but I had played it on the train already. It was Sharon's first time playing, but she won a couple times.
Tomorrow we will rent bikes and ride around the lake and into villages. We hired an interpreter guide for Sunday and Monday to take us to Shaxi, which is a small village about 3 hours from here that we had been thinking of going to. Tonight
at dinner, a girl that was at the restaurant came up to us and asked if we were interested in having a guide. Turns out she offers guiding service to Shaxi, so we booked her for Sunday and Monday. We'll stay in a guesthouse in the village, should be very fun.
Tonight, of course after dinner we go massages. I got a foot massage, which includes 20 minutes of back massage also, and Sharon got full body massage. This place was pretty deep tissue... in other words it hurt like hell, but felt good after.
The connection here is very slow, but I'll try now to put a couple pics up.

Nicely Done!
Awesome! Did you buy the machine yet? What's that a tattoo on Sharon's finger? Man the food makes my mouth water. Wyoh says hi and that he misses you.
