I don know where the time has gone, but December has crept up on me. It doesn feel like a regular December...1) because of the damp cold 2) because until you go into the stores/malls it doesn feel like Christmas. On the weekend I went to Tai kang Lu (a shopping area in Shanghai) that is many old streets filled with shops and restaurants. Myself and some girlfriends walked around the shops before grabbing a slice of fantastic pizza for only 15rmb!!! What a deal! ($2.00). Afterwards we visited an art gallery which was showcasing a Chinese photographers recent work. I ended up purchasing a package of 20 postcards featuring the photos because they were so unbelievable. Its too bad they are so controversial, because more people should be aware of these issues. Afterwards, we did some more shopping and ended up at a Japanese resturant for some dinner. The service was pretty bad....after waiting for more than 15 minutes for a server, we asked a server for menus, and instead she brought us MORE chopsticks instead! Cynthia actually had to get up from the table and get us some menus.
Later in the night we checked out a Christmas bazzarr,

the pizza place looked into the wine shop next door
which was being held at a German restaurant (well in the very large garden out front). It was crazy, we walked inside and suddenly it felt a little bit like Christmas. There were foreigners everywhere, lights, decorations, Christmas tree, vendors selling many different things, warm drinks and food....and most importantly, the people selling the items didn harass us to buy them as we walked buy.

On Sunday I ventured around Grand Gateway mall, while Bex, Aaron and Jess were running an errand. This mall is basically for luxury items...but I did find a couple stores that are more in my price range. Im really liking HOTWIND and UNIQLO....Im sure you can google both 😊 Check them out, they are pretty cool.
After the mall, Aaron and Jess took me and Bex for Hotpot....this was my first hotpot experience and it was really delicious. It reminds me of Fondu- minus the dipping the food in batter and frying it. You decide what you want to order from a wide variety of meats, veggies and "others" and boil them in your own pot. You also can create your own sauce, which was my favourite part! Mine was spicy ofcourse...Bex, not so

much 😊

Last but certainly not least.....Ive been meaning to take a video of my subway station and what it is like to get on the train. This is by far one of the least busy stations, but people still feel the need to shove their way onto the trains for a seat! Bex and I decided we would take a video to show you what you have to do to get a seat....it is very strategic....haha.......and ironically enough, when we got on the train an old lady basically sat on top of Rebecca. When she realized it was an old lady she gave up her seat....like a good citizen should. haha. Still hilarious.
