The trek was amazing - much better than the trek I had been on previously from Chiang Mai. We were a group of 10 - 2 Dutch, 1 Swiss, 7 English and our guide Good (Thai) and his helper Ta. 1st day we elephant trekked then climbed up a mountain side and stayed with the hilltribe at the very top. Our sleeping cabin had a balcony with incredible views, you could see to the horizon. It was one the groups 30th, so cracked on with Chang beers and told jokes / stories. 2nd day we descended into some valley and saw 3 water falls, I swam in 2 and was first in. The last night was really cool, we played poker (dutch guy won) and told ghost stories around the fire. Then Good revealed his 'moonshine' supply and we got really drunk and ate snake soup in his hut. Today was white water rafting and bamboo rafting.
What made the trek so cool was the people though. It was such a laugh, everyone got on straight away. We all went out and partied on friday Wednesday night when we got back - I think there would have been a few Chang-overs yesterday!
We hired bikes yesterday and did a bit of a ride - more details to come!

Hi, the trek sounds really fun. I'm thinking of doing the same in December. May I have the info about where to book the trek, or perhaps the contact for the guide Good?
