I'm rollin' up the rim to win! And I'm actually winning!

So every year Tim Horton's hypnotizes the nation with their Roll up the Rim to Win contest and people will go out of their way to get their cup of coffee that just might get them a free donut or coffee...if they are lucky. I, for one, have never had any luck with this contest and have become immune to it's power (besides the fact that I don't like being told that i'm a loser repeatedly! lol). I thought I was stronger than the rest in my ability to resist going, because I never won anyways.

Well, this has all changed with the roll up the rim contest at Dunkin DOnuts here. It's similar to what you all know from back home with one minor (and important) difference - EVERYONE is a winner! There are no losers! Mind you, the 8th prize is only a voucher for 3,000W off an internet shopping website, it's still something. This automatically makes me want me go there more often. What's more, is that Mike and I have had decent luck at winning actual prizes! We have won numerous free donuts, but beyond that, we won a mug and a coffee-scented decor thing. The prizes here might not be as big as the prizes back home (prize 1 is a laptop), but when I rolled my rim and saw that I won prize 4, I was stoked! 4! That's halfway to the top! Felt pretty good, let me tell you! And even the employees at the store were excited to see a 4 winner - that made me feel even MORE special! lol!

And that brings me to now - I understand how everyone else becomes overcome by this contest that Tim so brilliantly brought to our country. I have become obsessed (ok, maybe not obsessed, but I would definitely stop in at DD if I was passing by, even if I didn't nnneeeed a coffee) just for another chance to win a prize and feel that rush....I have been a skeptic all these years, but now I get it!

Prize 4
I don't remember which was 4 and which was 5, but one prize was a white and pink Dunkin Donuts mug and the other one was this little cup of coffee beans...and we weren't sure at first what it was because it said "caution: do not eat" and it was labeled "PERFUME". Well, who the heck wants coffee scented perfume???? We think it's actually more like a scented thing for your room...like an air freshener I suppose, but we have it out and the place never smells like coffee, so really, we aren't completely sure what the prize is! haha!
