Day 115 (Thursday 13/08/09, NJJ)
Drove to Revelstoke. Special K breakfast, and lunch. Drove through Mount Revelstoke National Park and Glacier National Park. Bought a 6 day National Park pass. Took a walk at Illecillewaet to the meeting of the two rivers. I was terrified about bears - there are signs and leaflets all over and I get even more scared. Took a longer walk (2.4km one way) to Wapta Falls in Yoho National Park. It started thundering then raining fairly heavy, we got wet through our raincoats but I didn't care because bears were all I could think about. The more people we saw along the walk the more relaxed I became. Spent night at Golden Municipal Campground. Tent up. Showered. Had dinner in a pub. Rain started again. As became usual fell asleep listening to audiobooks on the ipod - with the knife to hand nearby.
