On Saturday 3 October we visited the museum for the "Settlers' Day event. Lots of people were there and all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the day. Michael and Cathy were there also - with Jason and Anita also a friend of Jason.

Thankyou
for doing the blog Uncle George. Oma's flowers are lovely. She made a fabulous model! I hope you didn't have to use those toilets, they don't look very nice.

what a day
lots to look at and try out. I don't reckon that brick was bad - give it a chance to dry out. Did they use a kiln, or trust to the sun?. Is the reserve near the museum?
11th October 2009

The bricks ..
are dried in a kiln nowadays. I don't know if they were in the "old days"!! The reserve is about 4km from the museum - are you thinking of visiting???????

A must visit
This is definitely one of the most important and interesting places to stop and visit in the North. Be aware that a half day minimum is needed to get a proper feel for historical living. It is absolutely awesome and very highly recommended. From a happy visitor who will return with more time to enjoy.
