Today has been a mix of everything and every kilometer has been worked hard for. Started out in the fog with a head wind, then the wind died away and was replaced by winding road along the coastline with lots and lots and lots of hills, think that’s going to be the theme of the next part of the trip somehow.
Anyway after a while the sun decided to intermittently burn off enough fog to shine through and warm me up enough to keep going.
I cycled 70km before lunch today as I didn't have any food to eat. So I have decided at the next big shop to stock up that way I can eat when I'm hungry, not when there is a town. I learned that from a couple who have been on the road for 2 years! Imagine that, they've cycled everywhere it seems and are on they're way from anchorage around north america…what a journey.
Other than that the day has been quite smooth, riding on a quiet road round the coast. Tonight's campsite is under what I think are redwoods, not sure but I think they are. The first of many apparently.
Off to Monteray tomorrow which should be a change from the past few days.
Today's stats:

Ride time - 5:51:29
Average speed - 19km/h
Distance - 111.33 km
Max speed - 68.0km/h (a new record for my bike)
Trip distance to date - 553.46km
