Celebrity sightings in Yangsan!

That’s right, folks! There has been a flurry of autograph signings, fans following the celebrities around and hanging out of windows to catch a glimpse of them leaving a place throughout this city in the last week! Note writing, secret whispers and all the above.

And who are these celebrities? Well, they are the foreign English teachers Danielle and Mike, of course!!

Leaving school today I realized how much this is true, when there literally were about 15 students hanging out the fourth floor windows waving good-bye (almost everyday) to me and yelling my name! Students follow me around all day, always wanting to say hi, or any other random word they know in English. I get A LOT of students telling me they love me and how beautiful I am. To top it off, Mike had students asking him to sign his autograph for them after class today!!

- Oh yes, these little kids follow me everywhere. They run and jump up and down the halls, they wait outside of my classroom in hopes of spending a few minutes with me between classes, and of course in my office at the end of the day. I can hardly eat my lunch with the amount of attention I get in the cafeteria. I'm pretty sure the grade 6 girls are infatuated with a foreign man and the grade 4's just think I'm the biggest thing since a rice cooker. I signed a good 25 to 30 notebooks today after class, just like an authentic autograph session. But I do have to admit, the little grade 2 class that sits across from me at lunch is absolutely adorable with their little digits, waving through the sea of adults sitting at my table, with the highest hopes of a small wave in return (only to giggle and return to their lunch and then repeat every 30seconds). Ahh yes, the life of a celebrity.
