This is my very first entry! I'm still at home in Yang Ming San, getting ready to take this journey. My first stop is Sri Lanka! This is where I will be meditating for 10 days straight, no speaking, no reading, no writing, just meditating... EEK! It's probably going to be the toughest challenge in my entire life. It sounds slightly boring but in reality its an awakening. I want to open up my mind completely and this is the only way to do it.
There are so many reasons why I am going on this journey and all of them make sense to me, but not necessarily to everyone else. There are three big dreams I have that I want t to chase after. I want to be an entrepreneur and surround myself with great people to create a phenomenal business. I also want to be the best type of humanitarian who can honestly put the faith in people before anything else. Lastly, I want to be spiritually enlightened so that I can appreciate life so much more. I've talked to many older people and they always brought up one thing that they regretted; never really enjoying freedom. They always wanted to travel and be free, but there was always social expectations that held them down. School, college, job, marriage, kids. I took their advice, I've decided that I was going to be completely free for one whole year.

And this decision to do so aligns with all three of my dreams: Entrepreneurship, humanitarian and spirituality. As an entrepreneur, you take chances that other people are unwilling to take. You take a much riskier and different path than everybody else and you take it because you believe that the unknown is not to be feared. This is the different path that I must take.
This journey will also teach me to be a better humanitarian. I am proud of the Vesta Organization and how it has become such a beautiful event. But this isn't enough for me because I feel I have the power to do more great things for more people. And to do that, I have to understand the needs of the poor people. I have to immerse myself in their lives to learn how to help. Hence, my travels to India and Africa.
Lastly, this journey will be a spiritual one. So many older people, including my dad, have found the power of spirituality late in their lives. I want to find it early and live my entire life with a clear mind, pure heart and a happy soul. Imagine finding joy in everything you do, for every second of you life. Is it possible? yes, and many people have achieved this awakening!

Alright, well that's my very first blog in my life! haha, pretty long I guess, I'll try and update it often... but don't expect too much because I'm going into meditation mode for ten whole days. You guys will all be in my mind; my family + one more coming along the way, the girls, xiong di men, Maggz. Don't worry about me, I'll all feel your presence along the way then I won't be alone. Hakuna matata!
