Today we celebrate our 30th anniversary in Avignon.
I have 10 minutes to journal before we leave the ship for our morning tour of the Palais de Pape. We enjoyed our stay in Arles. We walked the the town when we arrived and returned to the ship for a jacuzzi (I wish I could call it a hot tub but the water is pool temperature so I have nicknamed it the "cold tub". However, at the end of the day it is so refreshing. The weather has reached 90 degrees every day and it's equally as humid as hot!
We had a morning guided walking tour of Arles yesterday. We saw the arena, where they have bull fights and a sort of running of the bulls. There are so many old buildings and so much history but mostly Arles is known for Vincent Van Gogh and his stay there. We visited the Place Van Gogh and the Roman baths. The streets are narrow and filled with shops. We found our way to this great olive oil shop and tasted olive oils. There was some type of celebration in the city and we saw gladiators in costue (I think there is a big gladiator fight coming soon). It was fun to watch. We separated from our group to stay in town and then joined them later on the ship for a late lunch.
Well, time to go...I'll fill you in on the afternoon/evening soon!
I'm enjoying your responses to my blog....keep them coming!
Arres Vois? (Not sure how to spell!)

It so very civilized! and nice to navigate. Your children look beautiful. I think Friday we will do Shabbat dinner and Kerrie wants to go to Synagogue and so would I. Have fun, Love, Mom
