The next day, the Saturday the 25 of April, we set out early to go for a walk up the Lycabettus hill. Let me tell you people its not for the feint hearted. Its quite steep already from the hotel we were staying at. We are told the best way to go up is via the cable car at D Distrias street. We get the cable car after waiting for about half an hour (during which dad finds an Alexander car what). There is a beautiful view that greets us at the top and an amphitheatre apparently were the likes of James Brown have played before during summer. We end up walking down and end up a the tip of Plaka. Here I get one of those bread bagels that a street peddler is selling and Liz follows suit. We then walk up to Victoria Station and catch the bus to the Temple Of Poseidon at Sounion.

It does take about 2 hours traveling time but its worth it. The Temple for the God of the sea overlooks the sea at the tip of the Attiki Peninsula, boasting the carved graffiti of Lord Byron. It really feels like you’re on one of those islands of Greece or something .

After checking out the temples and spotting some birds with about 13 chicklings in tow we head back to catch the bus only to realize we missed one my 10 minutes and then next one wont be for an hour. So we decide to walk it and see where the road will take us. Eventually we do catch the bus that comes 1 hour later - but further down the road. In this time we get to see a cute old church randomly along the road so its still worth it. When we get back we head off to Pisiri for dinner with its small little streets of cafes, restaurants and bars.
