In Paris we continued our musical tour in style. The first night we were there we saw a very energetic performance of gospel music in the oldest church in Paris. The following night we went to the beautiful Saint Chapelle for a Vivaldi performance.

Over five fantastic days in Paris we visited the following places: Notre Dame, the Louvre (couldn't match Stevie's six hours, but four hours wasn't a bad effort on our part), the Eiffel Tower (stunning views over Paris! Unfortunately, the weather took a turn for the worse and we only made it up to the second level), Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, the Luxembourg Gardens and Sacre Coeur (We sat out the front on the steps in the evening after having a look around the church and saw plenty of musical performers and the amazing Iya Traore - see pictures). We also did a day trip to Versailles where we saw the absolute extravagence and absurd wealth of the Chateau and its gardens. As well as evenings of dinners by the Seine, watching the comings and goings. Not a bad life, really!

The highlight of Paris, however, had to be seeing the final stage of the Tour de France. We headed to Champs Elysees bright and early with the hope of getting a good vantage point. Unfortunately, the road was blocked off and you could only access it from certain points. We went round the corner to Rue de Rivoli and got what turned out to be prime position - front row, about 700 metres from the finish line and part of the 8-lap circuit. Well worth waiting nearly five hours before the start of any action and standing for seven hours in total! After a parade which seemed to go on for an eternity and which advertised every product under the sun, the team vehicles and support cars came through, followed not long after by the riders. I got so excited I was shaking to see the likes of Armstrong and Contador up that close - bit of a loser really! Got some great photos of the riders, but they're all on Joey's camera.

Challenge
You're not allowed to come home until you can spin a ball on a pen out your bum. Might be a little tougher than carrying something on your head with no hands.
