Hot to Cold...How quickly the weather can change?

You guessed right, we woke up and quickly left the truck stop/casino/Subway/restaurant/hotel and headed to the littlest big city in the world, Reno! We were welcomed by the bright neon signs inviting us into the Casinos. Fern tried someone to marry her in the little Wedding Chapel, but other than that Reno was pretty uneventful!
If we thought Nevada was dry, California is definitely caliente, caliente, caliente. The Skittle upped its temperature to 111 degrees and our deliria hit an all time high! With the windows down and all possible water emptied into our bodies we headed to our next destination.
Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives may be a cool television show, but we were not highly impressed with their selections. In Indiana the place we chose was not open on Mondays (the day we were passing through) and Jamie’s Bar and Grill was not only closed, but had a padlock on the door causing a sad day! However, this was quickly remedied when we found a local coffee bar/restaurant. We were heat delirious and just wanted ice cold water so we sat ourselves down and Fern quickly started journaling/scrapbooking! After a few minutes of sitting and sweating and sweating some more, we realized that the sign at the door said “please wait to be seated.” We awkwardly stood and waited to be seated, but no one came. Fern grabbed the bull by the horns (we picked up some sweet cowboy references in Wyoming) and asked the waiter to stop watching tv and wait on us! He informed us that it was not lunch or dinner time and the kitchen was closed. We packed up our belongings and headed back to the streets, where we found a local Irish Pub around the corner. We had a delicious lunch and worked on our scrapbook.
As we pulled into the Jelly Belly factory, we were extremely sad to find out that tours ended at 4:00 (after taking a while to figure out what time zone we were in and what time it really was). We walked in and two seconds after taking a photograph with Ronald Reagan, “I like to Move it Move it” began blasting over the speakers. We quickly explored the bottom of the factory and were amazed at all the crazy flavors. From cotton candy to pencil shavings to boogers they had it all! We made our selections and begged for some bottles of water. As we waited for our water, the private party that was happening upstairs spilled down into the lobby and we were amazed at the uniforms being worn by some of the guests, words cannot describe it!
As Fern had predicted we entered foggy San Francisco and the weather dropped drastically, like Australia, its summer is our winter! We stepped out in tank tops and shorts and of course were freezing, especially Ashley and that southern blood. We scampered into Anna's house and had a great dinner with the family! I know you all are sad and some will cry, but tonight we will plan our last adventurous day for tomorrow!
