Just got home from a 3 day trip to see my old school friend Hilary. She and her husband Mike live between Cheddar and Weston Super Mare, in Somerset, so its a journey of 3 and a half hours. We had a busy time, as you'll see. Hil's sister Rose has bought a house close by, so we caught up with her too. And daughter Rachel lives in Bristol, where she enthusiastically helps kids "go green", by going into schools and giving demonstrations and help withn gardening.

those sand sculptures
are fantastic - how on earth do they get them to say like that? It must be special sand or something - maybe they mix it with cement!!!
