Everyone standing out on the deck as we leave Halifax
First day at sea and it’s been kind of rough...the water that is. We have literally been on a rocking boat for probably 20 hours. It’s pretty hilarious to watch everyone walk around, especially when we’re in lines, because everyone will lose their balance and start shifting in one direction and then stumble back in the other direction all in sync. We’ve even gotten air a couple times. The front of the ship flew up and then came down with a very hard thud, shaking dust off the ceiling. Girls starting screaming, haha. Lots of people are getting sick, but not me thank goodness. Crew members are basically all over the place cleaning up vomit…we’re off to a great start here! 

On another note, to know that this is only Day 1 of 7 spent crossing the Atlantic is kind of surreal. All I can see in every direction is blue ocean and the horizon seems never-ending. Everyone is really excited to get to Spain, or probably just land in general. The day pretty much flew by though, so I’m hoping the next 6 will too..

Saw the sea!
You comment about nothing but ocean for 7 days reminds me of an old song with lyrics that say "I joined the Navy to see the world, but what did I see?...I saw the sea!..." So true! Love ya, Daddy
