Hey everyone!! So I’m leaving tomorrow!!! I can’t believe it’s already here. Everything is all packed for the most part, just a few little last minute things to do. My plane from Columbia leaves at 12:40, then I’ll fly through Chicago to Los Angeles to meet up with the AustraLearn group. My friend from Furman that’s going with me, Erin, will also be there. It’ll be great to have a familiar face. We leave LA at 9 something, fly 12 or so hours over the Pacific Ocean, and arrive in Auckland at 7 on the morning of the 16th. I believe it’s an 18 hour time difference. Wow!
Typing is a little more difficult right now - for some reason I decided it would be a good idea to cut my finger the day before I left. I was trying to fix the blade on Mommy’s new food processor, didn’t realize where my finger was and sliced it open. Daddy took me to Doctor’s Care and I got 3 stitches in the middle finger on my left hand. So now I have a huge bandage on my finger - not exactly the start to the trip I was hoping for. But oh well - it could have been worse!
Right now I’m tired, and it’s time for bed! Big day tomorrow! I will miss you all, and will update again as soon as I get set up. Wish me luck, and I appreciate any prayers (especially for not having any more stitches incidents). New Zealand here I come!!!
