where's the pot of gold?where's the pot of gold?where's the pot of gold?

But we did see a wonderful rainbow, and later a double rainbow.
Yes Virginia, there is a Letterfrack: According to Wikipedia: 'Letterfrack (Leitir Fraic in Irish from Leitir meaning rough hillside and perhaps from the Old Irish word Fraig meaning woman or fraoch meaning heather) is a small village in Connemara in Ireland founded by the Quakers in the mid-19th century. It is situated 15 km north-east of Clifden on Barnaderg Bay and lies at the head of Ballinakill harbour. The visitors centre for Connemara National Park is here.'
Just back from the market, where Matteo bought the makings for supper tonight - pasta with fresh local garlic and tomatoes. I'm making Irish coffee for dessert. Of course. We sampled some in the village of Leenaun on the way back from the climb and dinner in Westport last night. It was just amazing - sweet, hot coffee, a good glug of Irish whisky and topped with fresh, thick, unsweetened cream. The Italians had never had it before and let forth with a stream of appreciation and glee. So we are off for more climbing and adventures. Today's mountain is just 400 meters and about a 2-hour trek - an easy day. Then to a fishing village called Roundstone and, if the tide is with us, a trek out to a small island. More to come.
Slainte,
Linda

Breathtaking
If you're not already huffing and puffing from the climb to the top, these views will take your breath away. I lift a pint to your accomplishments, and wish you great joy with the potatoes.
