Having finished the hike, I've now had a few days and am recovering from the altitude sickness and general 'malaise'. I'm in Lijiang and trying to think what to do next.

India overland via North China...China, Pakistan, India?

South East Asia? and then India?

Generally by brain is like mush so a few days of recovery are required.

lovely to hear from you
Hi Michelle, This blog is a good idea...hard to know where you are. Was back in Notts breifly as Ali has finally finished his architecture! Hope you make it to India safely. Can't begin to imagine how many different experiences you must have had and are going to have. Thinking about you lots. Helen x

Sickness
Personally, I would love to visit Pakistan. But the little I saw of India was very interesting. I know it is very far away, but if you do get as far as Mumbai or the little village of Paud, I could contact my friends to see if they would show you the children's home for the children taken from the red light district (in Paud) or visit the slum clinics in Mumbai. Hope you get some clear idea of the next move. But staying still for a while to rest can be no bad thing. Love Louise
