Thanks for all of the birthday wishes!
We qre long overdue for an update on our travels: but have been busily traveling and having a marveloustime! also... sad to say.. no pics until we return to the stqtes... we left our camera connector at home and for some reason the cqrd reader we bought in ghana no longer functions. sad;
So our lqst week in accra was highlighted by q physician strike. The docs wanted a 50%!r(MISSING)aise in salary and the governments first offer was 6%!.(MISSING). so they went on strike; cqring for admitted pqtients and new (dire) emergencies only and then when that did not work;;; only working from 8 to 5. Of course this did not mean any real changes in obgyn... just no outpatient clinic. The strike lasted for a few days before everyone was told thqt it was over and to go back to work. ( we are still not sure whqt the outcome was! )
Before we left we had a nice evening out with friends margaret qnd john ( john is coming to ann arbor in august for his mph) and said our goodbyes. Kevin was even sure to say goodbye to our local wqter and banana street vender! (ask me lqter about the conversation!)

If I had known how to get to your blog sooner I would have written sooner! I hope you had a great Birthday!! I'm sure you celebrated in style.
