holy crap

well we made it!!! it took us 6 flights due to delays/fog/baggage etc. Mom got in trouble with not claiming a Chicken Salad she had and so we had to go to the 'Infringement Desk' DUN DUN DUN...and pay $200 (100 in US money). Expensive salad.

No major problems (in my opinion...you'll have to talk to my mom though). I do have Edema realllllly bad right now from the flights. Moving around hasn't helped it. I look like I have Elephantitis or cankles or something. At least I think I have extra support in case I go rock climbing I won't easily sprain something.

The Qantas airline served large meals, snacks, deserts, drinks, coffee/tea, fresh fruit. We swear they came around offering us food every hour.

We're staying at the Windsor Hotel in Christchurch. We came in really late and so the attendant came down in his robe...awkard! It's BEAUTIFUL in here! Really old...and elegant looking. We have our suspicions that it might be haunted as well. 😊 😊 😊

I love the accents. "any heed seets??" (any headsets)

And I actually heard a guy say, "Gooday mate!!!" YES!

Oh and I checked to see if the toilets flush the other way, but they were super toilets and all flushed directly down and very quickly. Will keep you posted on this.

I'm writing this on battery because the converter I have won't plug into the wall here so hopefully we'll get that resolved soon and then I will be able to write in more detail.
