Running in the rain
this rain was no joke...I didn't take an after picture I actually really left Nha Trang! It was sad, but it was time. One of the girls I had met got really sick and ended up in the hospital for a few days, but it sounds like she is doing much better-scary!! The last day in Nha Trang was great...I had Indian food for lunch that was so yummy and was so much food that I thought I would never eat again. But I am me and eating is what I do. The sun came out and I spent some time on the beach and my friends and I decided to go banana boating which was super fun. We fell off more times than what we think is normal, but it was really great. That night we went to dinner at a fabulous French restaurant where I got to eat actual cheese!! It was so good! I was so full that I stopped putting the cheese on bread and found myself dipping brie in olive oil. I am quite the gluttanous girl. oh well! It was great and the meal was finished with dark chocolate and mint icecream which was also super good.
The next morning, I got up and
took an 8 o clock bus to Dalat with another Trojan, Laurenne. I had read that the bus is 3 hours on the new road and 6 when you go the old road. Ours took 7 hours and it was so so bumpy which makes me think that we took the old road. We got to Dalat and it was pouring rain! we were so hungry but decided to first find a hotel and then get something to eat. We could have gotten a taxi but for some reason decided to brave the rain. It was a complete downpour...We couldn't even see where we were going! I was very thankful for the bag cover that Jackie had left in my pack the last time she borrowed it (thanks...you're the best!), but still I was soaked and everything in my other bag was too. I was terrified as we were running down hills in my broken flip flops because I was convinced that I was going to completely wipe out. But i didnt, yay. Everyone was laughing at us as we were trying to read our completely saturated map. We found the hotel we wanted to stay in (which actually turned

TLC was wrong...you should SO chase waterfalls! out to be a different one with the same name) and they had a room so we were excited. It was a decent room for 10 bucks total so we took it. I think they couldve showed us a super crappy room for 500 dollars and we would have thought it was perfect at that point!
We hung all our stuff up, turned in the wettest things to be laundered and headed out on the town. Ofcourse it had stopped raining now that we didnt have all our stuff! We checked out a bunch of tour companies in order to book canyoning for today and decided on the one where we liked the guy the best. We also booked a 2 day biking trip and got 10% off everything because we asked for a birthday discount!! One of the other companies said they would get me a cake! It was pretty funny! We then recruited 2 other guys to come with us canyoning-the company should have given us commission!
Canyoning today was amazing! I was so excited to be going...I had been once in australia and once in Switzerland and both were some of the best things I've

I love making everyone be cheesy with me! done! The day started off with an alpine slide like thing into the park and then we began our abseiling. We did a few dry abseils, slid down some crazy waterfalls, jumped off 3 cliffs (the biggest being 15 meters whch required a running start) and then abseiled down 2 waterfalls. It was awesome! My legs are going to be unbelievably bruised but I had a blast! We were happy we didn't have a thunderstorm like yesterday! The guides were great and the four of us had a terrific time! Tonight we will all be meeting for dinner and some karaoke and dancing to begin the festivities for the very important day tomorrow!
By the way-there are no copy writing rules in Vietnam..I am currently sitting in Peace Cafe which is right next to Peace Cafe. It is like that everywhere! Crazy! Oh yeah and yesterday we also ventured around the market and tried some green bean/soy milk hot drink that was really good. Oh and artichoke tea is a specialty here but to me it tastes like plastic doughnuts. gross.
Anyways, going to go upload some pics and then head out for dinner!

FUN!!
What's so weird is that before you wrote anything about the bag cover and I was just looking at your pictures, I thought wow you look like me in the top right picture. Now I know why!! You had my bag cover! Makes all the difference! I am kinda jealous of your absailing adventures....it was so fun when we went in Switzerland...however it must have been a relief for you to not have to hear someone worried about getting a TBI the whole time! Glad you had yuuummmy food...I am detoxing so no yummy food for me....enjoy your last day of your 28 years!!!
