This was supposed to be a last greeting from Kampala but since we have not had any internet access for a while it is actually written from Sweden.
It was a looong journey back. We were supposed to leave from Entebbe early monday morning but our flight to Heathrow was cancelled and we were rebooked for a flight at midnight, good or bad… -We had to spend the day at the nice Hotel Imperial Beach Resort with view over Lake Victoria and had an entire suite to our selves, - sometime flight problems actually can be quite nice! Once we got to Heathrow we had another 8 hours of waiting, which was not equally nice...

The last week in Kampala last week has been quiet, with Jakob back in Sweden and Kenge in Rwanda, and we got a lot done with the report.
On Wednesday evening we went to see Ndere Troups, a professional dance -and music group that performs traditional dances, and it was fantastic! The show was almost three hours long and contained some of the different tribal dances and music in Uganda, which are quite many since the country have 54 tribes! They were so good dancers,

and it was a very interesting guidance through the culture of Uganda. We were sitting under the open sky, sipping on a cup of African Tee and just enjoyed.
The last days we tried to sum up our stay here. We went to the craft markets a last time, had a last coffee in our favourite coffee shop and a last dinner at the favourite restaurant. We have also been buying some really nice fabrics (there are many shops filled with fabrics in the most amazing colours and patterns) and took the opportunity to have some skirts done by a tailor.

We are so happy with our stay here in Uganda, we could not have had it better! There are many things we will miss; the children staying in our house, the weather of course, the fresh fruit, the cheap and good beer and the friendly people.
Thank you for sharing the adventure with us! Some of you we will meet soon, and others later!

Take care! /Åsa and Terese

One of few coffe shops in Kampala. Here they have nice coffee and good cakes, and it lies in the middle of a craft market. A combination of nice coffee and nice shopping, can it be better? :)
