C'est un bon weekend!

Our weekend started on Thursday night when Chaaarlie told us about a party. Now let me just explain the situation. Thanks to Andrew who met Charlie in some exchange program in high school, charlie became a facebook friend. I swear it's not as weird as you think. But anyway he was nice enough to meet us and take us to a party all in the same night.. very brave.

Since we had nothing to loose Jaymee and I decided to try the party out, which proved to be a lot of fun. They were all French college students who were shocked to hear there were Americans at the party and all proceeded to come over and meet us. I learned my lesson last time and did the bis bis with everyone which i still think is so awkward. We were like celebrities. One guy even came over asked if he could take a picture with the Americans.. haha since I established last time that I have an attention problem, this party was just my scene. After some judgments from girls we ended up making friends with most of them. I had some language barriers and got frustrated and just started speaking Spanish. There was this one kid who spelled everything haha. Anyway I was feeling great when 4 am rolled around until I realized I had to be up at 6:30 for class. Let's just say it was really rough and our program sucks for not giving us Fridays off.

Jaymee and I decided we needed to start working out so we don't get fat. I refuse to gain weight here. So we went for a run. Every french person looked at us like we were crazy. No one works out here. It's soo weird. and they are all so skinny. I don't get it, they eat baguettes and cheese and drink wine all day long! Our madame was shocked when we didn't want bread with our dinner the other night. Jaymee and I unknowingly ran a splendid 3.2 miles and decided we don't care what other people think of us. The French are so weird because they talk soo bad about America all the time yet they seriously want to be us. They all speak English, listen to our music, watch our movies, and use our slang. Stop hating on us if you want to be us.

Now for our Eventful Friday night!

We decided we needed to successfully try out the club scene. Ally had been ranting and raving about Le Social Club, so Jaymee and I decided it was best to try it out. We metroed it down there and finally found it. Of course there was a line and then these two grimy guys in front of us asked if they could say they were with us. I was not about to NOT get into another club for some busted guys so Jaymee said nooo. THank God because the bouncer didn't let them in. It was a 12 euro cover and 2 euro coat check. Then a beer was 6.50 euro. Unfortunately Jaymee and I dropped 30 euro just at this place. The place was kind of cool but not what I expected.

I think we went on an off night because there was a person performing live with some techno stuff that Jaymee and I were not feeling. We tried hard to dance and have fun but it definitely was not happening. Watching French people dance was hilarious. They just jump up and down and do some funky side dance thing. Not my style, I just wanted to hear some Pitbull. ha. So we peaced out of Social Club and walked over to our go to place Corchran's. This was a new location and sooo much better than Bastille's There was a huge dance floor and they were playing good American music. Needless to say after listening to the music at Social Jaymee and i couldn't have been happier. We decided that it was super late and to go so Jaymee thinks she can figure out the Night Bus Map.

-I think this picture explains what happens next. We leave the bar and are walking down the street with Jaymee trying to read the map and walk barefoot. Then this french man comes over and tells her to put the map away because its embarrassing. Jaymee didn't take this advice too well and for some odd reason got FURIOUS at this man. He got so scared of Jaymee's wrath and started heading for the metro entrance. Then jaymee gets a brillant idea and shouts out, " WhatEVER we DON"T neEd A MAP." and throws it at the poor french man. I was very concerned at this point and just stated the fact that she was littering.

NOw that we don't have a map we keep walking and Jaymee see a fast food place still open at 5. So against my good decisions Jaymee insists we stop at this wannabe McDonald's and buys a large fries. then She is positive she has found the Night Bus Stop. Ok Jaymee I trust you since I am so bad with directions. So we sit down and wait about 30 minutes for this bus. Within that time span we had at least 6 cars pull over and try and talk to us. Once we have ignored your first sentence, what makes you think you should stick around and say a couple sentences more? Thankfully the bus pulls up and we get on. We were on it for awhile and I was semi-sleeping when I hear this man talking to me. I open my eyes to see this french white ghetto person talking to me. Saying "tu es tres jolie." Cool Merci I am not interested. Thats when Jaymee a got up and checked the map and says, "OMG WE"RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!" Cooll Jaymee I trust your directions and now who knows where we are. We get off at the next stop and realize we're not in the best part of town. PAS LE BANLIEUE. For all of you who don't know the the banlieue is the suburbs of France and you dont want to go to any of these suburbs because its the ghetto. So we run our white american butts into a holiday inn and ask the front desk guy for some assistance. He said, "You're American, you don't speak french or know Paris and you took the NIght Bus???" haha he couldn't even find our stop on the map because we were so far north. I blame this on Jaymee who found 25 euro on the ground and kept it. Now we're stuck in the ghetto and at least used the 25 euro to pay for the 31 euro cab ride home... We strolled in the house at a lovely 6 am... HAPPY VALENTINES DAY JAYMEE hahaaha
