Cooking Thai Style

After a day of chilling and looking round Chiang Mai, we booked ourselves up for a Thai cooking course, sounded well good and did not disapoint. We were meant to be taken to a market for an hour to be shown all the ingredients and that, but the girl forgot, which went down badly with the mad Yanks we had in the class, we just sat at the back away from everyone else and fot on with it. Instead they gave us an hours tuition on all the Thai ways of cooking and what the main ingredients are etc...............much better, markets are markets after all......................The course was run by this guy called Sasmon who is like the Thai Jamie Oliver (not fat and lispy, but their celebrity chef). He taught us how to make Pork with veggies thai style, thern we had to go and make it for ourselves. This happened for 5 sepearte dishes, a demo then get stuck in, including Spring Rolls, Duck Curry, Stir Fry and something else I have forgotten already!!!! We then had to go and eat all that food................now as you will know I am a huge eater!!!!! Well after the 4th course i thought I was going to explode, food sweats galore, but just about manged to get a bit of Mango down at the end. Quality day, learnt loads and saw the downside of Americans, who were fat and rude, Barrack has a lot to do...................next on the list is a two day trek into the mountains, which Becks cannot wait to do!!!!!!!

DINNER PARTY
I am meant to be going to the USA this summer now, so might not be down south after all, but I am looking forward to the inevitable Thai dinner party that you will both have on your return! I will provide the non-alcoholic becks, Mickey Boy the dub style reggae of Pie. I will speak to Barack about the behaviour of those Yanks, and I will tutor some of em in the ways of righteousness. Is the chilled Thai thing not getting through to them?
