Hi!
So I have a lot to update! Mark went back to work on Monday and so I was home by myself and just did a bit of house cleaning and read and relaxed. Then Tuesday I went in the truck with Mark! It was pretty cool...You get a great view from riding up there! I took lots of photo's. He just did a short-ish day (as far as truck driving goes) and we started at 7 am and were back around 3:30 pm. He had to drive the truck (full of organic milk) to Cambridge and unload and then drive home empty to the shop. I took lots of pictures of the scenery cause I didn't really take many on the drive from Aukland that first day. They have lots of different terrain, on Mount Messenger its like a jungle with trees and bushes everywhere and then you get into all these grassy hills where the farmers all live. And you can see the ocean a couple of times along the way as well.
Wednesday Mark had the day off but he had bought a trailer on Trademe.co.nz (like ebay sort of) and he had to pick it up in
Hamilton at some point, and since he is so busy all the time so he had to take advantage of the day off...but that meant we drove all the way up to Hamilton on his day off from driving lol. Hamilton is about 3 hours north of New Plymouth. The bike trailer is real nice too. Then we did some shopping at a plaza in Hamilton and had sushi for lunch - yum! Wasn't as good as Wabora back home but it was still tasty! On the way home we stopped in Otorohanga to see the Kiwi House. So I got to see some real live Kiwi birds!! They are endangered and only found in NZ. They are also nocturnal so the lighting in their cage area was very dim, but we could still see the little guys! I took some pictures of all the display ones they had so that you all can see! Then when you exit the Kiwi area you walk into this big wildlife area outdoors. They had all sorts of birds and lizards that you can find on the island, it was very interesting and I took a million pics. They had separate little aviaries
for different birds, and ducks following you everywhere on the pathways lol. In the centre was a huge separate caged aviary where the different birds could fly free- the ones that got along well together I guess! Oh and they had signs everywhere describing the different plants and trees too. We spent a good hour in there!! Today Mark was back at work and I had some shopping to do. OH we finally picked up the little Honda Civic for me too on our way home from Hamilton, and I followed Mark home from Stratford (where his parents live). I felt much more confident and am getting used to driving on the other side of the road. Of course in the city it may be a little different but we are going to go practice one night this weekend. So today Belinda was home as well and said that she needed to do some xmas shopping (thank goodness cause I didn't want to drive into town but had no idea when I would get my shopping done for Mark!). So I went with her to the shopping centre, actually a pretty big one, I don't think I even saw half
of it though!!! But I did get everything that I wanted, including a little (fake) 4 foot christmas tree! It is so cute and I got it all decorated and had Mark's presents wrapped by the time he got home - which is actually just now and he's headed out to go riding with his buddies!!
Bigg John we got your christmas card, thank you so much!!! xo miss you too!!!!
Other than that there's not much else to tell! Oh but as far as job hunting is going I've found a few jobs that sound good so I will be applying and sending out my resume. I am still probably not going to get to start working until the new year though! A nice long holiday though! And I've just been trying to be real helpful around the house so Mark and my housemates don't think I'm just a bum!!! haha!
Oh and today is Mark's sister Steph's birthday so I think that tomorrow we are all meeting up for dinner somewhere, combining her's, great uncle Gordon's and Scotties (Deb's husband) cause they are all really soon as well. So that will be a good start to the weekend!

Mom and Nana, these blue flowers are everywhere! They range in brightness too and some of them are just so vibrant and beautiful! I will try and go out and get more pics of the plants here...they are so pretty! I'm also hoping the weather gets a bit nicer for the weekend again, its been raining Monday - Wed and today was blue sky most of the day but real windy and then would cloud over, real strange weather here sometimes! Anyway, enjoy the pictures and try and sign up publicly (subscribe) if you can, so that you get the auto emails when I make updates!
