In the morning, Phil and Terry's son Andy and his family left to go home to Charlotte, North Carolina. There was a big family circle hug in the kitchen to see them off with love. A while after that, Carol and Art left for Memphis. We had another big family hug for them. For lunch, we cleared up a lot of left-overs from thanksgiving. Then, Janet, Nancy, Jodie, Terrye, Kathy, and Betty went off to go shopping! They went to look for clothes for Terrye's trip to Chicago next week, and just to look for anything because that's shopping! Martin and Charlene came back from a craft fair with a cute ornament for Daisy. Martin thought of a clever picture of himself and Rowan. It will be called "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in" or "Rowan and Martin Laughin' ". Some of you will know that this was a TV show way back when. All too soon, it was time for another family send-off for Rowan, Seth, Vivian, and Jodie. Boo Hoo! they followed us over to Janet's house to look at Mom's costume jewelry before they left. Jodie choose a couple of rings, and we found some earrings with butterflies on them for Betty. We sent them off into the night at about 5:00 to drive to Virginia to spend the night. We tried not to cry! We returned to Phil's house in time for the kick-off of the last UT game of the season. Janet and Nancy wore orange clogs, and nearly everyone else wore orange shirts. Phil, Max, Don, and Betty had gone off to the game in the cold rain, using Phil's season tickets. UT won over Kentucky. They got back pretty wet, but happy. It was Betty's first big football game and she loved it!
We slept, missing our own little family, but oh so glad they came!
